Product Information
Nomio is a natural performance enhancer which reduces lactate during physical activity. It contains a high dose of ITC which is shown to reduce lactate, lower oxidative stress and accelerate training adaptations, improving your endurance performance.
Isothiocyanates (ITCs) are naturally occurring compounds found in cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli. They’ve been extensively studied since the 1990s for their diverse biological properties. Because ITCs are highly reactive and short-lived, obtaining significant amounts through normal diet can be challenging. Each Nomio shot delivers ITCs in a bioavailable form, equivalent to those typically found in around 2.5–3 kg of raw broccoli.
- Reduced lactate during hard efforts
- Improved tine to exhaustion
- Faster recovery day-to-day
- Enhanced training signalling
- Made from three organic ingredients
How to use Nomio
Nomio is best included both in training and racing routines. Our recommendation is to take it 3 hours before hard sessions or races, as a hard effort routine. It can also be taken 1 hour before bed time on especially hard days. Many professional athletes use Nomio 1-4 times per week.
STORAGE
Nomio has a best-before date 8 months after production if stored refrigerated. Products supplied by Simply Active have been stored in a refrigerated environment to ensure maximum shelf life.
Product can last up to up to 8 weeks in room temperature, making it easy to bring it to trainings or travel it.
If purchasing online, we recommend storing the product in your fridge immediately upon receiving it.
Backed by Clinical Studies
Over eight years of research and product development at Karolinska Institutet (KI) and the Swedish School of Sport and Health (GIH), has resulted in successful stabilisation of isothiocyanates, enabling production of Nomio.
Study #1: Using broccoli sprouts during a 4-week intense training program
In a double-blinded cross-over study, the NRF2-activating properties of ITC was connected to training adaptations - participants who took ITC saw faster training improvements compared to placebo.
Headline saw a shift in blood lactate compared to placebo.
Study #2 Acute testing of ITC on endurance athletes, 3hrs after consumption
The study saw that a single dose of ITC was correlated to a shifted blood lactate curve during sub-maximal exercise.
It was also found that the optimal ITC dose follows a U-shaped curve, with the optimal amount matching the ITC content in one Nomio shot.
WADA Compliance
Nomio is committed to clean sports and is regularly tested for banned substances.
